Jason Syversen

Jason Syversen

Founder & CEO, SportsVisio  ·  Partner, New North Ventures  ·  Managing Partner, 10X Venture Partners

Jason Syversen grew up in rural Maine, earning a full engineering scholarship to the University of Maine before spending nearly a decade at BAE Systems as a computer network operations engineer. Recruited to DARPA in 2007, he oversaw a ~$100M portfolio of national security R&D programs at the Strategic Technology Office.

In 2009, he founded Siege Technologies in Manchester, NH — one of the first small companies focused entirely on offensive and defensive cyber R&D for the DoD and intelligence community. Siege was acquired in 2016 by Nehemiah Security and subsequently by Braes Capital. He held a TS/SCI clearance for over 20 years.

Today he leads SportsVisio, an AI and computer vision platform that automates statistics, highlights, and analytics from amateur sports footage. He also invests in early-stage companies through 10X Venture Partners and serves as a partner at New North Ventures, a $20M dual-use technology fund.

"It's a little different than bombs and nuclear weapons — that's a morally complex field to be in. Now instead of bombing things and having collateral damage, you can really reduce civilian casualties, which is a win for everybody."
